Hello again! I'm John, a passionate web developer with a background in physics and a love for tinkering and perfecting things. My journey into the world of web development started in college. Initially pursuing a career in physics, I obtained my physics B.S. degree and continued on to graduate school. During my studies, I interned at a physics lab as a computational physics researcher, where I honed my skills in analyzing complex data and developing solutions. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in web development, and I made the decision to transition my career path.
Having already gained experience with programming languages like Python during my time as a physics student and researcher, I found the transition to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript relatively seamless. To further enhance my skills, I graduated from a Web Development bootcamp offered by my university. This comprehensive program provided me with a solid foundation in web development and fueled my desire to continue learning and expanding my knowledge in the field.
Throughout my self-taught journey, I discovered the power and versatility of Webflow, a visual coding tool that captivated me with its incredible capabilities. Although it's not strictly a "no-code" tool as advertised, Webflow's ability to automatically generate clean and efficient code in the background makes it a perfect bridge between no-coders and professional developers. I was drawn to Webflow not only for its user-friendly interface but also for its speed. The platform's fast load times and efficient development workflow impressed me, leading me to embrace Webflow as a primary tool for building stunning websites.
Web development is more than just a career for me; it's a passion. As a tinkerer at heart, I have always enjoyed hands-on work and the process of perfecting and modifying things. Web development provides the perfect outlet for my creative and analytical nature. I derive immense satisfaction from seeing the end result of my work and knowing that I've created something meaningful. The ability to continually learn and grow in this ever-evolving field is what drives my passion for web development.
Beyond my career, I find joy in my personal life. I immigrated to the United States back in 2010. I met my wife, Mallori, in 2016, and we embarked on a journey filled with love and shared experiences. We got engaged and eventually tied the knot in 2018. In early 2023, we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Lily, into our lives, bringing immeasurable happiness and fulfillment. These personal milestones have shaped me and instilled in me a sense of responsibility and dedication, driving me to strive for excellence both in my professional and personal endeavors.
